Welcome to Wealden Wild Floral Design, where floral art has an environmental heart!

Our goal is to create bespoke, elegant, seasonal and foam free designs using sustainable or compostable elements and products, including recyclable kraft and tissue paper, cardboard, bio cellophane/ cellotape, twine and ribbon. We avoid single use plastics generally, even our flower food sachets are compostable.

Seasonal blooms, botanicals, foliage and sundries are sourced from local, regional and British suppliers including Flowers From the Farm. Doing so means the flowers aren’t without water for several hours and wrapped in plastic, both of which which can reduce their longevity. This also reduces emissions and enables us to support other small businesses.

On occasion, due to the British climate, adverse weather and/or client requirements, we may have to import some flowers from time so we do make a regular contribution for trees to be planted to offset carbon emissions. We also run a paper free office and re-use, recycle and repurpose whatever packaging we can.

We are always striving to improve our sustainability, reduce our carbon footprint and to become as eco-friendly as possible whilst providing individual quality floral designs for those who have a like-minded ethos.

As a fellow flower lover, you can also help by:

- Re-cycling or re-using the container and packaging that may come with your flowers

- Consider drying or pressing flowers from an arrangement or bouquet as a longer keepsake from a special occasion

- Composting or recycling flowers/foliage in a garden bin : do check your Local Authority’s specific requirements however

- Shopping locally and supporting small businesses rather than relying on large, faceless internet sites and buying British where possible.
